Everything Baseline: who we are, where we play and how to join
New here, or just curious what we do? This is the short guide to The Baseline, from our local camps in Singapore to our international retreats.
What is The Baseline?
The Baseline is a tennis community based in Singapore. We run international retreats, in places like Perth, Bali, Phuket and Japan, and local camps in Singapore. Our mission is to bring the best of tennis to life.
We started The Baseline to bring communities together and to build strong relationships between sport and wellness. We like to think of ourselves as that bridge.
Where did it start?
It began as a Saturday afternoon camp at Upp East, for people who wanted to get better at tennis and enjoy doing it. People came back the next week and brought friends. Today the community has 700+ members, and we have run 20+ sold-out retreat editions.
Our Co-Founder and Head Coach, Bradley Lai, was Singapore's Junior No. 1, played Junior Davis Cup in 2014 and trained at the Sánchez-Casal Academy in Barcelona. He leads The Baseline with Rebecca, our Co-Founder and Director. You can read more on our About page.
What do we stand for?
Four values shape how we coach and how we travel. We call them B.A.S.E.
How can I play with you in Singapore?
Our signature Baseline camp runs every Saturday from 4 to 6pm at Upp East. It's two hours of drills, match play and good company, led by our coaches, and all levels are welcome. You can book your place on Rezerv.
Our coaches also run structured programmes with ActiveSG, which you can register for on the ActiveSG portal. If you'd like something more personal, we offer one-on-one and small group sessions too.
Where are the retreats, and when?
Two retreats are left in 2026, and ten are planned for 2027. Where we can, we plan around Singapore long weekends, so you can travel and play while taking less leave.

Who are the retreats for?
All levels are welcome. Weekend warriors, former juniors, club players and people who are newer to tennis all join us. Many guests come on their own and leave with new friends.
How does booking work?
- Apply for a spot and pick a time for a quick chat with our team.
- Choose your retreat and room type, private or twin share.
- We send you an invoice with your package and total price.
- Pay the 50% deposit. Your spot is secured once we receive it.
- We ask for your landing time, email and t-shirt size, and help arrange transport for the group.
We speak with everyone who applies, so each group is a good fit on court. Bookings are non-refundable, but you can transfer your spot to a friend up to 14 days before the retreat. The full details are on Book With Us.
Are there perks for members?
Yes. Baseline members get 30% off ASICS products with a Baseline invoice from the last three months, and 20% off Feel Morrys eyewear.

Do you run community events?
